Description of Research " Multidisciplinary investigations using state-selected atoms " We are a (largely) experimental atomic physics research group. We apply atomic physics techniques to a wide range of problems, including: precise tests of physical laws and symmetries; the development of atomic clocks; biomedical and materials science investigations using laser-polarized noble gas nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR); laser spectroscopy of coherently-prepared atomic media, with applications to quantum information; low-energy atomic collisions; and theoretical investigations of Bose-Einstein Condensates.
