One's Actual Writing Of The Research Paper example essay topic
Research paper writing can be broken into steps that will walk a person through the task, and the paper can be finished in no time. The following process will allow anyone lacking some research talent to write a paper that is an educated, well thought out piece of work. The first step in the process involves determining your purpose. The thought of what the writer is trying to achieve by writing this paper is the purpose. With a purpose in mind, a question will need to be brainstormed. This question will serve as a way to make one's research original and focused towards a centered topic.
The first step is the building block for the rest of the research paper, and if one's greatest work is not put into the starting point then the whole paper will only go downhill from there. Continuing after the purpose of your paper, one will need to list seven to ten questions one thinks will need to be answered in order to be complete and thorough in writing the required research paper. In a normal 3 page requirement, one will need to count on those seven to ten questions as sub topics for paragraphs containing about five to eight sentences each. These questions need to be well thought out and detailed so that sources of information can be chosen at a later time. These questions which will be the bases for the body paragraphs and the body paragraphs in a paper are extremely important. Once one has these well thought out questions prepared and written down on a piece of paper one can move on.
Following step two, a writer will need to drive to a public library or a school library. A librarian will be a great "tool" to use in one's quest to find sources of information to back up all your ideas. Proof of everything that is stated in one's research paper must exist. Since librarians are at a library to help students one will need to discuss your topic with an educated librarian, and they will help you along this path. The sources of information need to come from a variety of sources. All internet sources will not work, neither will all database sources.
A variety of sources is a key to success. Some examples of sources are interviews, books, magazines, pamphlets, newspapers, electronic databases, and even the internet. When you find your sources one is going to use you will need to check out the material, or if that is not an option a photocopy of the information is required. One will need to have these sources in their hands during the next process. Writers must now make sense of the information they have in their hands. With all the different sources it may seem difficult, but you are more than halfway through all of the process.
Topics will need to be determined based on the research and the questions that were "asked" in step two. These topics are one of the most important parts in the body paragraphs. These important steps cannot be skipped, for it will cause extreme problems. Continuing after the topics, one will need to write out index cards from each source. One index card will serve the purpose of writing one piece of information from one source. The first index card from each different source will need to contain the bibliography information at the top of the card.
The following cards from that same source do not need to contain bibliography information. These cards will serve there purpose in the following step. An outline is the second to last step in the process of writing a research paper. This outline will contain the information and how it is to be ordered in one's paper. The outline will be written out from paragraph to paragraph and contain the information that will be inside each paragraph. This process of writing the outline will make one's actual writing of the research paper extremely easy.
This step cannot be skipped even though it may seem pointless. This is last and final step besides actually writing the paper. The paper will need to follow the outline and contain internal citations for any used information. Plagiarism is not a very honorable way to do things. With this hard work and a alphabetized bibliography attached to the back of the paper containing all the bibliography information from the index cards, you will hopefully have compiled and written a research paper to be proud of.
The art of writing a great research paper is something one can become better and better as they write more papers. Although most people think writing papers is a stressful task that will cause extreme thinking, it can all be achieved easily by just following an easy process. Anyone can write a paper that is an educated, well thought out piece of work even if they are lacking research abilities.
