Our Civilization M Ville example essay topic

Our civilization is called M-ville. Our capital is Whaler ville which is located in the middle of our civilization. Our population is one and a half million people. We chose this amount because its not to many people, but its not to little either.

Our civilization is located in the Midwest. The states that are included are Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Around our borders are the united states of America. Included in our land mass are all of the great lakes. Our food is heavily dependent on farming, some of our crops include corn, many types of vegetables and wheat. The government of M-ville is a democracy (like the United States).

With this type of government, the people choose their leader and the people who follow them. The leader at the beginning of our civilization to get things started will be Pat and I, we will then hold an election of who should lead the country next. Law enforcement will consist of an army. Since we are a fresh country, a draft will be held and every man who is over 18 will be required to join. Once the age of fifty is reached, you will be required to remove yourself from the army. A police force will also be made up.

Anyone who is again, over 18 is enabled to join the police force as well. But not required to do so. The functions of the government will be based on a democratic system. The laws of our civilization consist of 1. No stealing or cheating. This law is important because if we have stealers and cheaters, we will get nothing accomplished.

2. No killing of people (enemy exception). This law is important because if we kill our civilization we fail. Contribution to the government (taxes) will be 10% income tax and 2% sales tax.

This is important because without this, we cannot have such things as clean streets and the salary of government officials. 4. Must go to school from 1st grade through high school. This is important because educated people do better in life than non educated people. 5. Respect is given equal to social class.

This is important because bums will not get the same amount of respect as the president. 6. Must be 18 to vote. This is important because if you are under 18 you really don't care who your government leader is. 7. No slaves.

This is important because our people were not meant to work for other people for free. 8. Must practice Christianity. This is important because of fear of desertion from our country. 9. Cannot conceal any weapons.

This is important because if somebody gets mad, they don't just go and shoot someone. 10. No conspiring against the government. This is important because the more of this the less we concentrate on invasion from someone else. The religion of M-ville is christianity (praying to Jesus Christ). Being the current leader of the country, we feel that it is necessary to be of the Christian beliefs.

We will go to church on Sundays anytime of the day. We will pray to the christian god. The role of the priests is 2nd in our social class because there is only one person higher than then and that is the president and his employees. In our civilization education is very important.

We believe that every person must go to school from 1st grade through high school. Further education is available if you wish to continue. Education makes for a better civilization because we will have more knowledge to build things and protect ourselves. The language we speak is English.

We also write in English. We speak this because having only 26 letters, we feel it will be much easier to learn than Chinese. As for philosophers, teachers are just that, they teach with theorems that will further expand upon critical thinking for our children in the future. Our social class is based on 4 classes.

The first class is the president and his employees. The president and his employees are the most important because they are the glue of the country, they hold it together and make decisions about very important things. The second class is priests, farmers, fisherman and soldiers. These people are one step down from the president in importance because they supply a lot of our food. The third class is doctors and anyone else in the medical profession. The reason for this is that if people get sick they depend on doctors for help.

The final level is for tailors, artists, chefs and blacksmiths. These people are important because they cook our food, and prove that we were here because without them, there would be nothing to look back on. There is absolutely no slavery in our civilization we do not think that someone should be working for nothing. This is also one of our laws. In our civilization, art is a must because without it, nobody would have known we were here if our civilization fails. Our culture consists of music, dance, and sculpture.

Also, architecture is a big part of our civilization because the buildings we make will let people know that we built them. Weapons are not really at the top of our list. Of corse, the army will carry them but other than that, they really are not needed. The army will carry swords and shields to protect themselves. The history of our civilization is not much because we are brand new. Being new, we are inexperienced and are trying only to survive.

A typical day in the life of M-ville for a child is, get up, go to school and after school most likely hang out with friends or help out with chores. This could be farming, fishing or making things from our large forest areas. Adults will either join the army or work farming, fishing or if they continue in their schooling, maybe become something more like a doctor or something in the medical profession. That is the basic layout of what our civilization M-ville consists of. If we follow the laws and look out for people in our civilization, we should have no trouble surviving.
