People On The Planet Earth example essay topic

715 words
As the world shapes and the people grow in mass production it seems that by the year 2000 we " ll have mass overpopulation in the world but as the year passes it seems that we can't fit anymore people on the planet earth. In the article "Considering cloning's downfall', it says the there are currently 7.5 billion people living on earth. Judging by the current growth rate, that number will more than double in the next 25 years. (12/16/99 web ) In the next pages I will try to convince the public that cloning will not lead to mass population. In the first paragraph I will talk about "Limited factors'.

Limited factors is the circumstances that enact the carrying capacity. (12/16/99 web ) "Humankind constantly has battled its own carrying capacity and limiting factors. Whether it is a disease like the black plague running rampant across Europe, the challenge relocation or trying to produce enough food to feed the entire population, humankind has always triumph. ' (12/16/99 web ) In this quote it says that when there was a threat to humankind in different areas that the human life always found a way to cope with the problem and I don't think that if we started cloning that we would have overpopulation. In matter of fact if human beings don't find a way to solve the problem that nature will take its course and do something drastic or something to the effect that will solve the problem.

One of the ways that nature will stop the mass overpopulation is diseases like AIDS, ebola, cancer, and other viruses and illness. (. 12/16/99 web) And with the amount of people that are dying from all these diseases and I think it's enough that scientist can produce clones. Especially in the United States of America which is probably the nation with the most deaths by the disease called AIDS. Which means that we can produce clones and that we " ll still have fairly the same or possibility more population than we have today. Another possibility that can happen is that what happened if their was a World War 3 and half the population of earth was wiped out because just think that the next world war will be the deadliest war ever in the history of earth.

This is possible because of the threat of nuclear missals that play a huge role in the war and could even end the world. So if that happens there would be a lot of space for clones to come into the world and occupy space that was once occupied by the diseased. Well another reason that we don't have to ban cloning is because of the laws that could allow the government to tell the nation to only have a maximum of 2 kids per family. Some sort of example of this is happening in China right now in present day.

What China is doing is that they have birth control, which is mandatory in China. ( 12/16/99 web) And with the growing numbers we should be getting prepared by having food reserved for later use on earth so that there is enough food for the future. Now probably everyone knows this but we can try to colonize in another planet so it could cut the earth's population in half. "Some people believe that the Mars exploration may hold the answer.

If we can somehow change the red's planet environment so it is hospitable to humankind, we might be able to colonize the planet and thus reduce earth's population. ' (12/16/99 web / 1997/op 1. html) And if this happens then all the problems of cloning being banned will all be thrown out the window. And we can start making clones and advancing science to the next level. In conclusion, cloning should not be banned because of the threat it might impose on the issue of mass overpopulation.

And with the changing earth and all the natural disasters that are happening in the world there will be a lot of space for the clones that are due in the near future.
