People's Bodies example essay topic
With today's modernization and rapid increase of knowledge of medicine and the human body, I have created an idea that could possibly stop the problem of drinking, and the addiction that it creates. Alcohol is considered a drug for multiple reasons. People, when under the influence, can get either very angry, or are all-around happy people. However, it usually unfolds in the event that when they become happy drunks, they become very grumpy and mean people when they are sober, usually looking for getting more alcohol. Alcohol also ruins people's bodies, especially their liver.
It can impact their body so much that it sometimes brings them to death. People also make very un-educated decisions when they are drinking, and sometimes even when they are sober. When people are under the influence of alcohol, they make bad decisions like driving, even though they can't see straight, becoming loud, and sometimes even too rowdy. However, even when people are sober, they make bad decisions when it comes to alcohol, such as stealing and lying just to get some booze. Sometimes, people get cravings at the wrong time, such as in the morning before they are about to go to work. In this case, they can ruin their job, and possibly even the rest of their future.
Also, sometimes people drink around the one that they love, and words are said that are not meant, causing the relationship to come to an upsetting and un-sturdy halt. All of these instances are problems that should not be re-occurring in people's every-day life. People have been going about in many ways of trying to stop loved ones from drinking. They have pleaded, sent them to places such as rehab, and even cut off all relations to them. However, after much thought, I have come to a more practical idea, dealing with medicine.
With today's knowledge of medicine, it would not be difficult to create something that would make someone change his or her mind. I have thought up of the idea of making a pill that would be diluted into all alcoholic beverages, which would make someone pass out five minutes after finishing the whole bottle, in turn finishing the pill. This pill would make the hormones in someone's mind shuffle around, causing them to have nightmares of death. I feel that if people were constantly seeing themselves dying, they would no longer take whatever was making this unbalance. The pill would cause no damage to the brain, yet the person who digested the pill would indeed see things that are abnormal and disturbing to the mind.
If people were to take something with the alcohol and not be able to stop it from affecting them, I highly doubt that people would put themselves through the torture of something so mind altering and damaging. People like to be in the state of feeling good, and if their aphrodisiac fails them, they will move on and no longer attempt to use that substance, which in this case is alcohol.
