Plantation Owners In A Higher Position example essay topic

333 words
We the Iroquois Nation think that slavery and slave trade should be abolished and prohibited. Escaped slaves shouldn't be given back to their owners because we think there shouldn't be any slaves at all, and slave traders should change because slaves are also people so they shouldn't be sold to anybody. Also we think that there should be suffrage for all men and women. We think everybody should be free because everybody is equal and it is unfair if other people like plantation owners control just some people. What makes the plantation owners in a higher position than other people? They are no different from any other person.

Also, why don't the plantation owners wok together to get the job done, rather than making other people do it for them. It makes no difference if they do the jobs themselves and / or hire other people to do the work, but they should give a fair amount of pay so it won't be unfair. Us Iroquois Nation work together in the farm and we get the work done. If everybody shared the same property and was equally wealthy, then it would be easier and nobody would be competing to get a higher position.

We think there should be suffrage for men and women because it is only just. Everybody votes in the Iroquois Nation, and we still have a strong government that runs well. People who are just wealthy and well educated shouldn't be the only people able to vote; also the women should be able to vote too. We think that overall, America should let everybody vote, and also there shouldn't be slavery, because it just is not fair for the people who are the slaves. It is hard work, and maybe if the Americans tried being a slave one day with the Native Americans treating them just as harshly, the Americans will understand how hard it is.
