When abortion was first legal in the U.S. and Canada, few people knew much about fetal development or abortion. Most objections to abortion arose from religious beliefs. Some people, like catholic, opposed abortion because they thought it was against God!'s will. As the time goes on and people know much about abortion, more arguments come up. More and more people who come from different race, religion, and education take part in the discussions.
The arguments are intense. So what do pro-choice people believe? There presents some of the main ideas. Pro-choice people believe that the fetus is not a human, just a mass of tissue. And pro-choice people who want Planned Parenthood claim that legalization of abortion can reduce the number of unwanted children some of whom were subjects of child abuse. Furthermore, Planned Parenthood is a group that focuses on contraception.
Contraception is needed because of the overpopulating of the planet. And it!'s a woman!'s right to control her own body. No one has the right to impose his / her morals on others. A woman herself can choose abortion whether or not. And that abortion must be kept legal, especially for all the rape and incest pregnancies. And what!'s about the pro-life people?
Their ideas are absolutely opposite. Pro-life people being a religious person believe that the Bible backs up their views on abortion. And Pro-life people believe that the unborn child is human. They believe that a constitutional amendment should be passed that gives equal protection to all living humans, including the unborn. It!'s also the ultimate pro-life goals.
They believe that the violence inside and outside abortion clinics is morally wrong. And that they believe that rape and incest are horrible crimes and should be punished but a child conceived from either is immaculate and should not be killed. They don! t believe that the government should fund abortions. And all Pro-Life people should be doing to help stop abortion. Both pro-choice and pro-life views sound reasonable in their own side.
It!'s difficult to find out which side is right. It is one person!'s characteristics and values that cause him / her to support his / her side. Basically it depends on race, religion, and education. Women who are pro-choice have more senses and think it is a woman's right to terminate pregnancy she did not want.
They have strong wants of enterprise and want to live a life without children or with one or two children. They think they have less time left for their children. Many poor families think they have not much money to raise so many children. Thus, when these women get an unwanted pregnancy they will probably choose abortion. And abortions will take place because of sexual discrimination in some old fashion families. Sometimes abortions of rape and incest pregnancies can make women less depressed.
If the government of one nation thinks it!'s a good method of birth control, people have to agree and obey the law. People who are pro-life have more passions on life. They are gentle and love children. Their hearts are full of commiseration. No one would agree with abortion if he caught sight of the photos of aborted fetus about three or four months in garbage box. They are humans.
They have 46 human chromosomes in every cell. They have hands and legs. But their hands and legs are separated and in garbage box. It!'s inhumanity and unacceptable. And no mother will regret keeping her fetus when she first feels the heart beating of the fetus. One of the abortionists has said, "Even now I feel a little peculiar about it, because as a physician I was trained to conserve life, and here I am destroying it".
