Real World Problems example essay topic
This paper tells of how we face obstacles that we can defeat, but yet we do not think we can. Everyone needs to be strong, like an immortal. A man can never run form his fears, not even if they where the fastest mortal alive. Anywhere you go your problems will follow in your conscience.
The Furies always nagged and brought unrest to those whom they preyed upon. They punished evildoers in the underworld, just as your own conscience punishes you. This isn't a world crisis problem like some things that everyone worries about; this is a personal problem that you have to face on your own. Never tell a lie to hurt someone because it will always come back to you ten times worse. The Harpies are just like cancer preying on innocent people. The cancer takes those unwilling to die and gives them a slow painful death.
The presence of a cancer patient's death lingers forever, just as a creature killed by the Harpies stenches forever. This problem can be overcome if you fight hard enough, however the stench will always linger. Once you have cancer it never goes away and you always know that you overcame something normal humans cannot. Medusa is like our terrorism problems.
This evil gorgon can be beat, for she is not immortal. Our terrorism problems can be changed around if we fight with all our might and we have belief in a superior being. Perseus got help from Athena and Hermes, just as we seek help in God and help from our allied forces. Chimera was the impossible feat to conquer. She was swift and great on her feet. She was the one obstacle for everyone who saw her.
This obstacle is just like poverty over in Middle Eastern countries. This is almost an impossible feat to overcome; yet someday our will can be done. We have to fight the beast and be the stronger will in the battle. We don't have a Pegasus right in front of us, but if we look deep we will find what has always been there. It's up to the Middle East to ask for our help, for we are their Pegasus. All of these monsters and creatures can be overcome with time and energy.
That's exactly what our world doesn't have enough of. We need to help those in need and try to look above those who try to hurt us. No one deserves to suffer from personal monsters just as Jason did, or as Perseus did. We must learn from the stories told from those before us and learn how to overcome our monsters.
