Religions From Eating Two Foods example essay topic

Who Ever Would Have Thought? A year a go no one would have ever thought that I would actually be graduating from a major in college. On December 13, 2001 I will be marching across a stage to receive a certificate for my first major, Patient Care Assistant (PCA). I am taking my last two classes now to complete the requirements for the certificate. The classes are CAN-100 and Diet & Nutrition therapy. I have learned a lot from these classes.

The more difficult of the two is Diet & Nutrition Therapy. There are things about foods that I never knew. I have learned about different cultures and religions. Every religion and culture eats different things, in different time frames and eats different ways.

There are even laws that restrict some religions from eating two foods with each other. In my CAN-100 class I have learned about patient care. It isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Taking care of someone is hard work. I am assigned to four residents. They have to have help with things that we take advantage of, for example taking a bath, brushing our teeth and hair, and getting dressed.

They can't just get up and go to their closet and pick out what they want to wear. We have to be there for their support and help. Three of four of the residents that I work with are very lonely and depressed. I try my best to be their company and take care of them at the same time. The residents think of my classmates and me as their family. They are a joy to work with.

I have learned a lot about the career I plan to have. When my classes are over the one thing I am going to miss is the residents that I am assigned to take care of.
