Research On Just Infants example essay topic
Researchers wanted to explain that a child can become accustomed to a particular surrounding in which they get attached to and may cause their attitude to change when the object is tampered with. The study refers to infants interacting with other humans, objects, or even in different situations and surroundings. During one study (developmental Psychology / yahoo /unknown author) the researchers used monkeys to obtain their information for some of the research. They gave different kinds of monkeys blankets to see how they would react with them in different situations.
They also performed a test called the "strange situation test", which they placed the mother and the infant in an unusual setting to record the behavior of the infant. They came upon the conclusion that the way an infant reacts depends upon how and where they were raised, gender and also from what they were taught on what is right and what is wrong. At the same time of the first study they focused on five studies. The first was dealt with the relationship between the mother and the father. The second was on being afraid to form an attachment, and the third was on anxious resistant which dealt with jealousy and love. The other was Observed on a disorganized environmental setting and secure attachment which was the bond the infant had with a loved one.
I found that this was a very interesting article, although, I don't think that they did enough research on just infants. They went into depth on monkeys in which I find that it's not the same idea. This site didn't really explain a lot of situations that were researched and I would rate this site as a four on a scale of one to ten and ten being the highest. I would recommend this to someone who may be just overlooking the study rather than researching it in depth.
This site would be more of use if it would explain more about the child's actions before and after the examination period. However, the second study that I had found was devoted to research on just young infants (Infant Study / MSN/Arthur Gon char). It focused on behavior in many different situations. Some of the factors that played in the research were detachment-attachment, warm-cold, and dependent-independent. This research went more into depth on everyday life for an infant with a loved one. It showed the behavior changes when the infant tried the same activity with another person rather than the normal, when they spent time in the same setting with another, and how they function with objects when different people are around.
I would definitely recommend this site to another person because it refers to humans alone and not animals. It interacts with the infants in all cases and is very detailed and by reading the article is sounds that it was very well studied. I would rate this site as a nine on a scale of one to ten and ten being the highest. I would recommend this site to someone who is wanting to pursue a career in the field of child development. I think the best way to improve this site would be to study children all over the world rather than just the United States.
