Let Freedom Ring Freedom and responsibility, freedom-ability to act freely; A state in which somebody is able to do as he or she chooses, without being subject to any restraints or restrictions, authority to make decisions independently. Responsibility- (accountability) the state fact or position of being responsible for somebody; (blame) the blame for something that has happened that you were responsible for; something to be responsible for: something for which a person or an organization is responsible. There can be many types of responsibilities it all depends on the situation. I think that there is no good definition for the word freedom for the simple fact nobody's free to do what they want because there is consequences and repercussion for all the actions that someone makes. In fact I think that there are more negatives of having freedom then positives ones. For instance if a man goes and kills somebody, he's going to go to jail.

When you go to jail they take your freedom away from you. What I mean by that is they tell you when you can eat and when you are suppose to go to sleep. In jail you only have one hour to work out and eat. Me, personally I like my freedom although it is costly at most times. You pretty much have to pay for your freedom. Freedom is important to everybody because people need to live their lives as they wish.

If someone telling someone else how to live their lives or when they are told that they are suppose to do something that is not how someone should have to live. Another example is when they say "this is a free country" what does that really mean? Who really believes in that motto? You have to pay to do everything from eating to going some place, what are they saying that is free? Your constitutional rights states that you have the freedom of speech, religion and press. But on the other hand if you say the wrong thing to somebody they can take you to court and sue you for it.

So where is the freedom at there? In my opinion I think that it would be a lot easier to lose your freedom with all the laws, rules and regulations they make us follow now days. Then again some people don't deserve their freedom at all. Over across the world, the people that came over here and bombed the world trade center towers, they do not deserve to have any type of freedom. They come all the way over here and come into this country having us think that they are going to make a difference with there lives as well as others and really all they want to do is bring down our nation. Now I don't know how much freedom that they have over there or if they have any freedom at all but they have a lot of time on their hands to be doing something like that.

Now if my president told me to go over there and bomb some places I most likely wouldn't go because all that is, is they are taking away my freedom. Another example is that when you are drafted to the army, navy, air forces, etc. they are taking your freedom away there also. If you go then you are no longer free and if you don't go then they take you to prison and that " ll be taking your freedom away also. Don't get me wrong I will always fight for this country or even die but what freedom do you have if they make you go! There are the positives of having freedom as well as negatives. Living in the United States you are not required to do anything as for example China it is a state law that makes them learn martial arts.

We have the freedom over here to do as we wish in most situations, like we can go to college, we can work even though they set certain hours that we can work but then again we can pick a shift. Having your freedom is the most important thing in the world because it gives you the right to do as you wish. To me I think that some people take their freedom for granted, doing stupid stuff like committing a crime that they get locked up for. We all have certain things that we enjoy and even though we have to pay a price to do it we still do. We can take vacations to beautiful parts of the world and see so many things.

With freedom there is also responsibilities. Everyone has there responsibilities weather they are positive or negative. Some positive aspects of having responsibilities is that you get to earn people's trust. For example if your parents buy you a car and you take good care of it, they " ll hold you a lot more responsible for things than if you were to get speeding tickets, drinking and driving, or just little parking tickets. When I was growing up I had a lot of responsibilities.

Taking care of my family, going to school, making sure that all the chores around the house was done, and doing the yard work. In that case I was the one who always got to stay up later then the others to watch television. Some more positives to having responsibilities are what I have witnessed in most cases is that kids would always get there chores done and whatever the parents asked for. They " ll do because they wanted to go to a party or even a concert.

Kids would get good grades on there report cards to get extra money from the parents and the grandparents. a few positives for parents would be that they do not have to worry about there children getting in trouble because they want something weather it be clothes, toys, candy or just a simple favor. Everyone in the world has there own responsibilities it's just some people have more than others and could have a lot more effect on their lives. For instance children have as little as putting away the dishes, now most of the time they have to complain about it but don't realize that some people have it worse. Judges, they sit in a courtroom all day but they have in my opinion one of the worst responsibilities there is. They are in charge of indivisonuals lives. It is there judgment that determines if some one is to be free or if they are suppose to spend the rest of there lives behind a bunch of bars and stone or even if they have to be put to death.

Some negatives would be that if you are suppose to be babysitting a young child and something happens to the kid then you are held responsible. In that case you can lose a lot of trust and also that is how rumors get spread. The parents of that child could tell the neighbors that you hurt their kid and that would cause you to lose all responsibilities. Then you would have to work on earning that trust back but that would be even harder. Another example would be if you want to go and hang out with your friends after school but you have to get you chores done at home first then you could miss out on something your friends might be doing that evening.

Some kids like to have pets now days. If you are a young kid and you have the responsibility of taking care of the dog that is a lot of work cause you would have to train them to go outside when it is time to use bathroom and you would have to feed them, when most kids, when they are young they forget to eat themselves cause they are so involved in playing a game system or even playing with there friends. Comparing the two, responsibility and freedom, they both have their own unique ways to them although they can both affect you in certain ways. Some are a lot worse or harsh then others but it all comes down on how you take them, weather it be for granted or just for play.

I would like it if everyone had their freedom or if everyone took care of there responsibilities but it would never be like that. Some people have it better in some cases because if their family is wealthy they aren't really held to a lot of responsibilities. Such as a lot of wealthy families have maids that will do the chores instead of the children. Also most spoiled children don't have the slightest idea what their responsibilities are because they have their parents there to bail them out of any situation that they get in. I think that what really gets to me is that when someone for instance is middle class and they get caught with a pound of weed when they go to court they are most likely going to get a pretty good sentence. Now if say Michael Jordan goes to court for the same thing then he is most likely to get nothing but a fine because he plays basketball and everyone likes him.

Why is that? My conclusion is that every needs to be treated fairly and equally. If people really get treated differently depending on how much money they have or if they are an important person, then what does freedom really represent? Is it that some people should get more freedom than others cause they are famous and that if you are lower or middle class you should have less freedom than the upper class?

Even if you are poor or wealthy you all should be held for your own actions or be responsible for what you do.
