Right For The Sake Of Mercy example essay topic

438 words
EUTHANASIA Euthanasia is killing someone for the sake of mercy to relieve great suffering. But when a doctor helps an injured or ill person to commit suicide, it seems that people thinks there's something wrong with it. People think that euthanasia is all right for the sake of mercy to relieve someone that doesn't know from suffering. But helping someone that is in great suffering that knows there going to die is wrong.

The only thing that is wrong is that people are making it their business in others people lives and telling them no, you can't die even though you are going to spend the rest of your life in pain. People have the right to live in pain, or die to relieve the pain. No government has the right to decide for someone if they have the right to die. Everyone in the world has right to decide if they want to live or die regardless of pain or suffering.

I believe that people that can't improve there health threw the technology today have the right to have an assisted suicide. Some people believe that doctors should cure and comfort their patients and other people believe that if the patient doesn't want prolong there suffering death than should have a choice to end it. Rachel's readings say if she had choice with between a quick and painless death and a prolong death; she would prefer the quick and painless death. I agree with Rachel. But Callahan believes that people shouldn't have that right and that the people should live through the pain and suffering. I think that is stupid.

Question, would you want live through pain and suffering the rest of your life taking pills and shots that could prolong your life, or would you like to have choice to say goods bye to everyone you love knowing that the suffering will end for you? In my opinion is that everybody has the right to decide if they want to end there suffering or not. It's not our right to take that away from people. It's all right to kill someone for the sake mercy to relieve great suffering. Doctors should have right to choose if they want to help someone relieve there suffering. But it also should be taught in medical school how to do it.

I hope some day people will realize that it is a choice and a right of a person to decide if they want to end there suffering or not.
