Road Path example essay topic

465 words
Throughout everyone's life someone or something had contributed to what road path they decide to choose. It could be as small as deciding to purchase an item because everyone in school has it to someone who turns your whole perspective on life around. For me, I gained everything I never experienced. Imagining myself back in junior high I see a very timid girl who never kept her head up too high, and worst of all she spent most of her time worrying about what other people thought of her. Today, that is exactly what I am not, thanks to my friend who was always there for me. He was the one who helped me chose the right road path, the better one, and his name was Manav.

Valuable lessons were learned within everything he said to me. For instance, I learned to always be confident about myself while doing anything. Without knowing this word of advice, I would not to achieve the goals / grades I wanted. This confidence changed my outlook on life.

Now I could walk out my house without being so self-conscience on how people saw me as. I would be able to show the real me without caring too much on how I acted because whether I acted sophisticated or eccentric, that would be a characteristic that would make me unique. In fact by doing this I achieved unity within myself. No longer were there internal fights going within myself. With Manav what you saw is what you got. When he was happy, he would act happy, when he was mad, he would act mad, and even if he was annoyed by someone he would tell that person what he doesn't like about him / her.

Manav is honest and I admire that in him. The way he acted in certain situations wanted me to become like him as the days go by. There were no hidden secrets; the other hand I was the type of individual that would trap their feelings inside until it would explode into a massacre. However, Manav taught me how to manage those feelings by always expressing how I felt in any situation even if it hurt someone's feelings because either way someone would have gotten hurt. Till this day I give credit for what he helped me to achieve.

He made me come to the understanding that there will always be some road blocks in your path, and it is my decision to either turn around or take the step past that problem. He taught me to take the jump over that road bump to get to the next level of my life..
