Runny Nose example essay topic
She saw me approaching and led me to the west wing of her grand estate, while the rest of her family slept peacefully in the distant east wing. Yes, she lives in Radnor. She opened the door and I crawled inside. "How did you make it? It's freezing out there!" She said in surprise as I took a seat in her kitchen.
She grabbed a glass of water for me from the faucet. "I'm beat. I didn't realize it was this far". I said, gasping for breath. "Oh, I'm sorry, you really didn't have to. Do you just want to go downstairs?" She began to lead me into the basement.
My hormones seemed to overpower my exhaustion as I quickly followed her down the steps. We laid down on her oversized couch and I started to kiss her. It didn't seem like that long of a bike ride now. We turned on the television, but neither of us bothered to watch it. Engaged with each other, we acknowledged the fact that no one else occupied the basement.
I'll let the imagination read between these lines. Everything seemed to go as planned. We shifted around on her couch and I gently laid on top of her. I closed my eyes.
As I kissed her, my nose began to itch, and send short stings through my head, but I chose to ignore it. I figured that my nose simply had an acute reaction to the cold weather, just a runny nose. But to my dismay, when I opened my eyes to quickly send my fingers across the nasal cavities, I didn't find a runny nose. In the thick darkness of her basement, I could make out small dots on her face around her mouth. It smelled like an open cut. She didn't seem to notice.
When I went to wipe my nose with my fingers, the strong scent of blood rushed through me. "Do I... ?" I cupped my hand under my nose. "Mike, what's the matter?" She said in confusion. "Eww... ".
She jumped up and ran toward the bathroom, trying to wipe the unwanted red liquid from her face. I sat there in utter embarrassment, looking for an escape route or a trap door. I could not have picked a worse time to get a bloody nose, and now my girlfriend wore it all over her face. It did not display the sign of affection that I attempted to show.
