The other problem that this community faces is the high rate of child abuse that occurs because the children are always left unattended which makes it easier for the criminals to abuse them. The people in this community do not have access to facilities like the clinic, the clinic is situated on the other side of the community and because these people are disadvantaged and do not have sufficient money they cannot afford to take their children to the clinic. The welfare department is also situated in Kwa-Mash u, which is very far from Ntuzuma and so they have problems getting access to things like grants and so forth. The community has qualified teachers and administrators who are unemployed because there are no jobs. The rate of T. It was started by a group of women whom amongst them is a nurse and this team also includes a priest. This project is in a form of a cr " eche and day-care centre. Presently this team uses a suburban house, which has a garage that is used as a classroom. There are over 190 children in this cr " eche and there is a small garden that the children use to play and this house is fully concreted and so it is very safe. The children are given bread and meals every day because most of the children come from disadvantaged home who cannot afford to buy food.
The project also provides the community with fresh bread every morning especially those who are unemployed. In the cr " eche there are teachers who help read to children and teach them basic things like counting and naming colours, there are also child care minders, cookers, a nurse and a social worker who comes once a week all these people work together in order for the project to succeed. Children are also given clothes, toys, food and books, which comes from different donors. The priest usually goes around looking for donors who can help improve the standard of the project. The parents are also required to pay a small fee not exceeding R 50, 00; this money is used to pay for electricity and water and other vital stuff for the cr " eche. Developing indicators The target group for this project are the children who do not have a safe place to stay while their parents are at work. The project accommodates over 190 children, and is able to provide them with food and many other things. The project started last year and it has achieved a lot since then and it is still going strong.
The project is located in Ntuzuma. Objective Direct Indirect To create safe place for children to play The rate of child abuse decreases Not needed Creating employment The standard of living within the community is improved Less crime because people are employed Selecting a project team Criteria for selection of a team: Should have the necessary skills: here I will have to look at which of the candidates are good with working with children and if the cookers are clean and to check whether the administrators are qualified enough to handle the books. Will to participate: the team members must be active because the children are very important so they need someone to look after them all the time, so I will have to make sure that the people I hire are will to work with the children. Temperament to partake with other members: the theme of togetherness is important when in a team so I will make sure that the people I hire are will to work together with the others in the team. The team members must be in agreement with the project requirements of membership: they will have to go by the project manager's rules and will be required to be attentive and willing full all the time so that the project is a success.
Conclusion In order for every project to be a success it has to be planned well I say this because if there are any issues that are left out during the planning stage and if they are to come up when it time to implement the project could be a big failure. Although project planning in vital there is another factor that could stop the project from succeeding, and that is the importance of being able to have the ability to select the perfect team, teams are very important in projects because they help the project to be a success, without a project team a project is nothing so it is important to select the right team. This project is so successful because they have the right team, and they are able to communicate with their stakeholders well. The project has bought a site to build a bigger beautiful day care centre to accommodate the children. Thaw, d and R andel, M, (1998) Project Planning for Development. Olive publications.
