Even in the classrooms of younger children you could play a game where one person plays the victim and the other person plays the bully to know how it feels on both sides of the conflict. 1. Certain high school students could be assigned a junior high student that he / she could talk to about their problems and could be sort of an older brother or sister in the matter. 2.
Even a group could be formed where you could go and share your problems and try to create a solution. It helps when you know other people are dealing with the same sort of problems as you are. VI. Lockers are said to be a very common place for a bully to strike.
There could be someone outside the hallways surveying the lockers at all times, to insure that nothing will happen. A. Teachers can pass out surveys or polls to see what the opinions of the students and parents are. B. There is also a book called, "Taking the Bully by the Horns", which is being read in classrooms to let them know about the consequences of being a bully and how it makes the victim feel. VII. I truly believe that if schools work together in stopping the violence and creating peace among their students that maybe not so many catastrophes will be caused. School shootings seem to be happening all over the country and if the students learn to get along with each other, we can prevent this from occurring and the harassment will eventually stop..
