I am presently enrolled in James J. Ferris High School. I am in the ninth grade. I was born in India in 1985. I grew up in Baruch, a city very similar to Jersey City.
I attended school there from kindergarten to grade seven. After I finished the seventh grade, my family moved to Jersey City where I attended P.S. #38 until graduation. There are several qualities that I possess that I feel would enable me to be a success in the Business & Finance program. One such quality is my personality. I am a friendly and kind person. I easily make new friends and that's why my social circle is quite large.
I enjoy working in groups in school on projects and other types of problem-solving activities. I enjoy working with people and they enjoy work with me. Working well with other people is one important quality I feel I possess for the Magnet Program. A second quality that I possess is my past school record. My attendance record has been perfect since kindergarten with the exception of five days absent in the eight grade because I had a bad case of the flu. Academically, I have always received A's and B's.
I am what I believe to be an excellent student. I am not afraid of hard work and anything I do, I take pride in. Finally, the most important quality that I have is my experience with computers. We didn't have any computers in my school in India, so every thing I know, I learned in the Jersey City Public Schools. I know word-processing, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point. I am not afraid to surf the net and I believe that I am quite good with any computer.
