TO: Ms. FROM: English Teacher Student, Eng TC 40 S Date: May 21, 2003 REF: Progress Report, Comparison of Buying Car vs. Leasing one. Ms., This is the first proposal for my individual project for the English 40 STC class. This report covers what I have done from May 2-15. In my past 2 memos I have told you went I have been trying to get done. And so far my project has been divided into 3 steps: 1. Searching the Internet and looking through the Auto Trader for used cars to go and test drive.

2. Going down to the car dealership to find out about lease information for a Hyundai Tiburon. 3. Planning and starting production on my final report.

WORK COMPLETED Phase 1: Searching Phase 1 is has been completed on schedule (May 21). I had gone to several different houses after calling and asking to come by and look at their used cars. I have test drove each car that I went and looked at and have almost made my decision about which car I want to purchase. Phase 1 also included going down to the Hyundai Dealership on Waverley and asking to test drive a Hyundai Tiburon. That went very well, and they took me quite serious because I went with my mom and dad.

I was happy with the Tiburon, and it is going to be a difficult decision, as I liked a lot of the cars, that I test drove. Phase 2: Staring the Project Phase 2 is underway and is about 10% completed. I have recently started to make my Letter of Transmittal and have been planning out what I am going to put into the body of my report. I am sure that I will be finished on schedule as my date that I hope to be completed my project is not for 2 weeks. I have been having a few problems with figuring out how to set my report but I have worked my way through them. FUTURE WORK Phase 2 and beyond: In the next two weeks I hope to have completed the entire project and hope to have started working on my presentation so that it is ready for June 2nd.

Another thing that I am going to have to work on over the next 2 weeks is finding out what should be in the presentation, because I am a little clueless as to what should be included. CONCLUSION Things are going right on schedule and I couldn't be happier. I have heard that other people in the class haven't even started and I am extremely glad, that I am not in that place and that I started it right away. If everything goes to schedule I will be done the project a week early, this way I will not have to worry about a "crunch" for time in the last week. Sincerely,.
