Student Activities In School example essay topic
After school activities for school are big for students today. The more activities a student is involved in the better chance they have of getting into a good college. Changing the schedule could very possibly result in the loss of after school events such as sports. It would be so late in the day that once the students are done it would be dark at some points of the year. The school could buy lights but there is no reason to because that is just more money spent.
The schedule change would also affect other schools by the time they have to play games with our school. This schedule would not only be inconvenient for students but teachers as well. If the schedule is changed to staying even later in the day teachers / students would not be able to spend time with their family, or even do schoolwork as well. Teachers need some time to do things they would like to instead of grading papers and projects all the time. This would result in students not doing their homework as well being so late in the day.
Teachers also would not want to stay long after school which would let students off on detentions and things like that. Students would then get away with more in school which they would normally get into trouble for. Besides these things students and teachers would also want some free time to just go to the park, go bike riding, fishing, hunting, shopping, just spend time with friends and family, etc. There are also many more problems that would occur. One of them is parents may not be home to see that their child gets on the bus to come to school. They may work at the time and their kids could sleep all day or do whatever else missing school.
The school board wanted to do this so kids do not get in trouble after school. They would get into trouble anyway even later in the day. They would still want to hang out and chill with their friends because I know that's what I would do being a sophomore. And one more big issue is that students have jobs. The new schedule hours would not give good steady working times for students after school. These are just several reasons why changing the schedule would be a bad idea.
Student activities in school and out of, schoolwork, and freedom of doing things would be hard to do by changing the schedule. This proposal should just be rejected and thrown out and should not even be considered upon. It is a big waste of time to try and change the hours because no one would like it. It would affect students from other schools as well with sports and all of that stuff.
