To whom it may concern, RE: COMMUNICATION OFFICER VACANT POSITION I am writing with regards to the Communication Officer vacancy within the ICRC delegation in Lebanon advertised in the Daily Star on the 7th of the month. I am a Media Communications (BA Hons) graduate from the University of Lincoln in England with an Upper Second Class honours degree. Currently in Lebanon, I am eagerly seeking work in a busy organisation that requires dedication, motivation and an eagerness to gain knowledge from their employees. Although I have only recently graduated, I have always found the time to gain work and practical experience throughout my studies.

In my first year at university, I was elected Student Representative of the entire Communications course. The post's duties involved representing my fellow students before the university academia, press and other staff. This increased my confidence in taking forth complaints, appreciations and further issues of a society- in this case, a student society- to a board. One of my practical experiences has been working in the International Students's society of my university.

This involved integrating with students coming from abroad and encouraging them to integrate with their surroundings. Being Publicity Officer allowed me to take part in the advertising of events organised for international students. This built up my confidence in raising awareness for the existence of an organisation and its benefits to the society, which it is maintained in. As Student Ambassador and part of the student crew of the university's Marketing Department, I represented the university for three consecutive years. I took part in organising open days at the university for students and parents to attend both nationwide and worldwide. I took part in preparing lectures to inform the university's visitors about the university and what they should expect from it.

This position enabled me to be perceptive and relate to people. Your delegation will be able to benefit from my researching, communication, presentation, organisation and marketing skills. I have enclosed my CV, which should further highlight my experiences and qualifications, should they benefit your organisation. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me when the timing suits you best.

I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
