Surface Of The Water example essay topic
Everything the beach had to offer I would take in. I look back now and miss the occasions spent in this sweet escape. Walking down to the beach, I pass by the high standing rocks; their face having the appearance of a hard and rough surface. The darkness of the color draws in hands to caress; only to retreat in response to the razor like surface. Closing my eyes briefly, I can feel the breeze tickling my arm hairs. In my ears I can hear the sound of gently breaking waves.
The distinct taste of the mist seems to be clinging to my lips, leaving the taste of fresh salt to savor. Standing with my shoes on, I feel a fool for not standing bare in the sand, knowing the warmth that is offered up by the glistening sand. Stepping out of my shoes and into the bright surface, I feel the heat sting from the afternoon baked sand. The whiteness of the shore is blinding as I gaze around.
As my eyes are watering with sensitivity, I start to walk down the shore to do the ever-popular act of accumulation shells and what ever else the ocean has offered up for collection. Placing each shell in the palm of my hand, observing each and every one, I notice tier individuality. Each one having a unique color, a distinguished chip in their architecture, or a possible inhabitant. Many of times, thinking back and remembering, I had picked up what appeared to be a long abandoned shell, only to discover scurrying legs.
The results of the animals ticklish and surprising act was the quick dropping of my hand's contents. My heart always felt the immediate surprise. Walking more along the seemingly unending shore, I slowly drifted into the water. Amazing coolness rushes through and chills my body, unleashing a rash of goose flesh all through my skin.
The clearness of the water is an overwhelming sight. All depths are visible. Small tropical fish swimming around in schools at my legs as I slowly walk deeper into the aquarium world. I take a spontaneous dive under the surface of the water, giving my face a rush of the chilled salty water. It brings the potent taste for saltwater to my mouth and the ever so remembered sting to my nose.
Being emerged in the water, I feel refreshed. Making my way back to the dry land, I laid upon the hot sand and bake in the rays reaching down from the sun. Stretched out on the sand I enjoy the offerings of the beach. I set my mind free of all worldly thoughts, putting myself in my perfect place. My time spent on White Beach has left me in awe of beauty. Having lived on the island of Okinawa, Japan, I am happy to say i would live there again.
If the only reason was to experience the companionship of my beauteous lieu, I would spring at the opportunity without a moment of hesitation.
