In today's society theories are one of the most well known and most controversial issues among people. A major issue is the idea of creationism versus evolution, which are both theories presently in society. Creationism is the theory that man, earth, and the rest of the universe were originally created rather than randomly exploding from nothingness into chance existence (Abraham). On the other hand evolution is the idea that random mutations and natural selection can fully account for the complexity of life, and particularly macroscopic living things (Abraham).

Recently there has been a lot of debate over these two theories, but through these debates no one has gotten any closer to proving the other side wrong. However, there are a few people who are trying to blend the two theories together in order to get a better understanding of life, and are showing that the two theories could exist together. The supporters of both of these theories believe that there is only one way that the earth and its creatures were formed. This is pointed out by Paul Abraham's quote saying, "Extreme evolutionists often ridicule the idea of creation.

They presume to think that, given unlimited time, there is nothing that cannot be explained by the processes of nature". (Abraham). This quote shows how the believers of evolution think, and how they believe that their theory can account for everything that has happened overtime on this earth. Creationists, like evolution aries, think that their theory is the only believable theory, however in reality both theories have gaps in their studies that cannot be explained. These gaps can be almost entirely eradicated if you just blend the ideas of the two theories into one that explains it all. The creationist theory believes that God made everything and placed it on earth within the first seven days of the world.

In Genesis it is said that "God said, 'Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens,' and God blessed them saying, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the water in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth' (Genesis 1: 20 & 1: 22)". This line strongly supports the idea of creationism, and is widely believed among religious groups because it is in the holy scriptures. However, if one looks closely, this is also supporting the idea of evolution. Evolutionists believed that species of animals change over time and form new species, and this idea is discussed in the previous quote when God tells the animals to be fruitful and to multiply. The animals on earth are multiplying, changing, and evolving in order to survive in their surroundings. People have studied and investigated the theory of evolution for many years now, and Charles Darwin was one of the first to ever take a deeper look into this unknown idea.

It is said that, "Darwin's own grandfather Erasmus argued the contrary view that life changes from generation to generation, and that the marvelous living intricacies and adaptations we see around us were built up bit by bit, rather than minted all at once" (Weiner 25). This idea has been around for many years now, and through studies conducted by a number of scientists, there is now sufficient evidence pointing toward the validity of evolution. However, evolution could not exist if the creatures were not here to evolve first. This is where the connection between these two theories must be made in order to remove the gaps that existed in the theories before. A scientist named Dolph once said, "A species looks steady when you look at it over the years, but when you actually get out the magnifying glass you see that it is wobbling constantly. I guess that's evolution in action".

(Weiner 108). Scientists have seen evolution in action, yet this evolution cannot explain how the life first started. Darwin knew that evolution had unexplainable gaps, and thus he wrote, "Hence, both in space and time, we seem to be brought somewhere near to that great fact - that mystery of mysteries - the first appearance of new beings on earth". (Weiner 203). Even though evolution can explain how things are changing and how new species come to be, the only thing that can explain how the first creatures got on this planet is creationism. These two theories must have had to work together in order to form the nature that we see all around us today.

Society has spent so much time debating over whether creationism or evolution is the beginning of the world, they never stop and think that maybe these two forces worked together to create our universe. These two theories had to work hand in hand in order to produce the world we know today, and will continue to do so for many years into the future. Many things are created, but it is evolution that allows these things to continue thriving and prospering with the changing conditions in their habitats.
