People give suggestions and people are suggested to do something everyday. But do we pay enough attention to these suggestions, and do we need to pay attention to them at all? Lets say a twenty year-old man has an opportunity to move to United States. He will hear hundreds of suggestions from should he go or should he stay to what he should take with him. But will all those suggestions be acceptable for this man? One of his friends might be totally against America and Americans, he could say that everything he will have is just work and that's it, he may also say that Americans are not friendly, and living there will be nothing that you imagine.

While some other his friend might say: Go, you have such a great opportunity to learn a different culture, enjoy the beauty of America, you will get many new friends, great career its a great chance, you definitely should go! If the man would listen to the first suggestion, he would never really see United States, and never actually learn what he thinks it is like. The second suggestion might push him to leave everything in his home country and go, but he might be very disappointed at what he sees there. America is different for everyone.

People cant see the life through his eyes, and they cant understand it the way he does. They cant know what will be the best for him. Human nature is egoistic. Some of his friends might give suggestions against his departure just because they dont want to lose a good friend. Having nothing evil on their minds they simply didnt think what would be the better for him, they thought of themselves first. When people listen to peoples suggestions too much they lose their own opinion, taking someone else's like it was theirs, but like I said America is different for everyone.

There are many different opinions on almost every subject, so while listening to someone who suggests something we should first state our attitude toward the subject. Having a lot of friends and people who care is good. Listening to their suggestions you understand that they want to help you or maybe they want your decision to be right. But the only person who knows what will be the best for you is no one but you! Sometimes our opinion differs from what the most people think, and we mistakenly assume that we are wrong. But just because everyone else's opinion differs from ours doesnt mean that they are right.

If there are not enough arguments why do we need to change our opinion? People are very easily influenced. The classic example of influencing people is a book The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. In the beginning of the book Dorian Gray is a young man, he is still empty for new ideas and new ways to live. There was nothing the one couldnt do with him, says Lord Henry. Dorian Gray is influenced by Lord Henry, who was playing with Dorians individuality and thoughts to see what will happen.

To be good is to be in harmony with oneself. Discord is to be forced to be in harmony with others. To be in harmony with others means to be influenced, to accept suggestions given by others without thinking, and to live by these laws. Dorian is changing so much while Lord Henry gives him his suggestions about the life. To influence a person is to give him ones own soul.

He doesnt think his natural thought, or burn with his natural passions. His sins are borrowed, thinks Lord Henry, and keeps making awful things by Dorians hands. Dorian listens to Lord Henry as if the last one knows everything, he assumes Lord Henry knows the life, and takes everything he tells him. When Dorian realizes how bad he became it is too late: I have done too many dreadful in my life. There is no one with whom I would not change places; My own personality became a burden to me. I want to escape.

A person entitled to have his own opinion. Everyone is unique and has to know what is good or bad for him. Let your opinion to be your final chose, dont let anyone to rule your life.
