I am writing to you in regards of Linkin Park. I fell in love with their music the moment I heard 'Crawling' and I am trying to get in touch with them through the tradition mailing process or e-mail. Their music just seems to reach out to so many people in so many different ways. I am very thankful that I stumbled upon Linkin Park's music because it had become an inspiration to my life as well as many others. I had heard a lot about Linkin Park through a friend of mine sometime ago and since then I have become extremely interested with the band. The thing that touches me the most about Linkin Park is their lyrics.
I feel as a young adult I can relate to what they are trying to say. For example, 'In The End' is one of my favorite songs on Hybrid Theory. This song is perfect for any teenager that ever had difficulties dealing with relationships or family related problems. The lyrics state 'I had to fall to lose it all but in the end it doesn't even matter. ' That one verse of the song says so much. It's referring to the struggle of getting something you want so bad but when you finally get it, it doesn't mean anything.
In summary the song kind of reminds me of a love message. A relationship that starts and just ends up being so useless thats it's not even worth the time anymore. I guess it means so much to me because I have gone through and watch friends go through such similar situations. Built on an aggressive hard rock foundation touched with hip-hop vocal styles, Linkin Park's sound is utterly their own.
