Traditional Morals And A Warm Heart example essay topic

765 words
Running together, my character traits race to make up my personality. I enjoy crafting, shopping at Hobby Lobby, and being out doors. My traits, indeed, are like lively footsteps. Some of them dance with confidence, yet others stomp with negativity.

The confident personality trait that jumps out would be my traditional morals, and having a warm heart, but my negative trait that is always skipping along is my forgetfulness. The Confident trait that dances into mind is my traditional morals. Being traditional comes mostly from the way my parents raised me as a child, also by the way my family carried out their traditions. When I was a little girl, my mother and father made plans to stay at my Grandparent's house for Christmas. I would set cookies out for Santa; then Grandpa would read to me The Night Before Christmas. Today my feet carry out the same steps as the ones I followed through my childhood.

My mother and father are both teachers; therefore, by going to school and majoring in education, I am holding on to the traditions in my family. Also, by Going to college right out of high school makes me a traditional college student. Having traditional morals is where my warm heart waltzes in. When I see a chance to help animals and people I do my best to do so. For example, I was looking for a puppy, so I went to the animal shelter where I knew there was a dog in need of a home. Though I found an adorable puppy, my heart went out to all the animals.

After seeing the way the dog pound took care of the animals, I asked if I could do community service to help clean it up. Not only do I have a warm heart for Gods' little creatures, I also enjoy helping people in need during the holidays. I help donate toys and other gifts by being involved in the Toy Runs that take place to help collect toys for children in the surrounding areas. Like soft tiptoes, my warm heart usually goes unheard; nevertheless, I hear my tiptoes and they bring a little more warmth to my heart. Having good traditional morals and a warm heart are great traits, yet my forgetfulness is a stump I seem to constantly trip over. For me, forgetting a daily task is an everyday occurrence.

Between working, going to school, and maintaining a good relationship with my wonderful boyfriend, my brain is usually on high speed, which makes it easy for me to forget. When I walk into my house I have a small table to place my keys, so I plan to lay my keys down thinking I will remember their designated spot; consequently, time to time I find myself rushing to look for my misplaced keys. Also, I occasionally I get in my car and realize I have no idea where I'm going. I then stop and run through the task I have to do for the day and, if I feel I have forgotten a task, then I simply retrace my footsteps and hope to find the mistake. When I get out of my car and go in for the night I always seem to walk into my room with lights shining in through the window. Sure enough I forgot to turn my lights of before I got out of my car.

I am so forgetful that when it comes to homework I want to make sure I don't forget about it, so I take a small note pad and write down my assignments. I then check them off as I get done with each one. In conclusion, I take pride in my traditional morals and work hard to follow in my family's footsteps by the goals I set in my life. Also, my warm heart is why I enjoy going out of my way to help those in need. In contrast, I have a tendency to occasionally forget everyday tasks; thus, sometimes leaving me with a puzzled mind. Because of my lively footsteps I create my own personality path.

My footsteps are plain to see and often show a lot about me. One day I might find someone following in my footsteps. If so, I can only hope the footsteps I leave behind can help shape the beginning to whoever's personality path..
