Searching for the true A good man is hard to find! This was the title of the story that shows the cruelty of the world, which we are living today. Just look at the title of the story and you will see how true this is in this world full of prejudices. Well, the writer introduces us to an American family who lived provably somewhere between the years 1970 and 1980. The family was a typical white family of those times, and I said that because during the story I found a lot of discrimination against color people thing that was common in America in that time and that for disgrace it still happened in today day's not as much and at bad as it was before, but still happened. Like you can see, the story reflect the cruelty of the world in which we are living, and I do not say this just because I found a lot of discrimination against black people in the story, but also because it shows others bad examples like for examples are the criminals.

In the story there are two kinds of evil acts that we can find one is discrimination and the other are the criminals' act. This criminal acts were Characterize by a criminal that escape from a penitentiary in Florida called in the story as "The Misfit". This criminal is introduce at the beginning of the story with another main character called by the author as "The Grandmother", This old lady represent a very capricious and problematic character who always is trying to convince his son Bailey of doing what she want to do. Bailey and his family are secondary characters in the story, because it seems that they are the tools used by the author to show the two different kinds of evil in the story. Like I say before on of the evil character is The Misfit who represent the sickest evil in the story, because he is an assassin. The Grandmother represented the other evil character.

She had evil thought against black people, the persons that she called "niggers". At the end of the story this two character face one another and they both play to be good people trying to convince each other about it until the Misfit end the game killing The grandmother and her entire family. There is one very strong point that the killer made after he kill the grandmother when he says "she would have been a good person if there had been somebody ready to shoot her every minute of her life". To conclude, it seems that the lesson that the story left is that even the smallest or the greatest evil in a person could be hade and that is why "a good man is hard to find.".
