The sunlight cast its warm glow across the calm water of the Pacific Ocean, close to the Hawaiian islands. As I gained distance from the surface, the natural light grew steadily darker and eventually I was left with the yellow glow from my headlamp. Gazing before me I saw that I had reached the bottom of the ocean. The sea bed was grainy and rough, a TV loosing its reception. A sudden movement next to my leg made me jump. Looking round, rainbow shoals of fish were twining their way through the rocky undergrowth. Glancing towards the left I made out a large rock cluster.

I swam over and reached out to pull myself into the cave. This is the start of a essay i recieved an A for at GCSE for the original writing coursework.
