White Way Of Bring Up Children example essay topic

The three texts we have looked at this year, Australian Rules, Rabbit Proof Fence and Deadly Unna are all about aboriginals and in all of the they are being mistreated because of the colour of there skin. In Deadly Unna and Australian rules Dumby Red didn't get the best player in the football grand final because he was black as well as were mistreated by most of the white people both young and old because they were different. I learnt from this that there are a lot of racist people but not every body hates them and some of them even are friends with them. Black was friends with Dumby and Clarence but was still ashamed of it and was scared to let other people know how he felt about these two people because of what they might say or think about him but he was willing to be friends with people the same colour as him like Pickles just because he doesn't have any other friends. In Rabbit Proof fence there wasn't a different kind of racism instead of calling them 'Boongs' and writing stuff like "Boongs piss off' in public places, instead they took the children away from there parents because they didn't think the parents could look after the children and that the 'white way' of bring up children was the only way of bring up children. I learnt from the film that the aboriginal way was just as good if not better for bring up children if they wanted to live in the bush and not get a proper office job and live in a big city.

The three little aboriginal girls walked a huge way across that harsh Australian desert would of only been about to do what they did because they were brought up by aboriginal parents. I know for a fact that most if not all Australian kids brought up in the normal white person city environment would not be able to walk that long distance and if they could the wouldn't be able to cover there tracks so the best trackers could not find them.
