Whole Abortion Issue example essay topic

326 words
Abortion is the termination of an unborn fetus. In today's society there is a lot of controversy over this issue. Many people have views that say abortion is both right and wrong, while others are primarily focused on it either being right, or wrong. I for one am completely against the whole abortion issue. Only in extremely special circumstances do I feel it could be of use. In our world today, more than one fourth of women who become pregnant each year end up having an abortion.

Some excuses that they use because of having an abortion are that they can not handle a child at this point in their lives, they dont want having a child to interfere with their school or job, or that they simply do not want any more children. I feel that abortion is morally and ethically wrong. Who are we to try and determine whether a baby should live or not? The answer to that question is that we have no right at all. All babies, when concieved, have a special purpose and should not merely be terminated because of some selfish or irresponsible act of its parents. We as people must take a stand against abortion and help to save the innocent lives of babies that perish every day.

In conclusion I would like to leave you with this question. Where would you be today if you would not have been born into this world, that has so much to offer and so many joys? Im sure you would not feel very good to know that a selfish parent had intended to end your life because they thought of you as some kind of a burden. Please keep this and all other factors in mind the next time you hear of an abortion. Take a stand and proudly proclaim that you are pro-life.
