European Network Policy example essay topic
The new terminal will double the existing capacity and deal with expected growth up until 2010. With the acceding nations placed on the eastern peripheries of the union, such investment to link them with their western counterparts will be welcomed as a method of extending trading links. It is anticipated that further infrastructure regeneration will be needed to establish effective trading links between the eastern and western peripheries. In conclusion it appears that accession into the European Union will eventually prove profitable to the stability and trading effectiveness of the 10 acceding nations.
However, the process of transformation will be lengthy with many casualties, such as organisations unable to cope with the demands of the market economy. For the individuals of these states the benefits bestowed by policies such as the Social Charter and the eradication of employment boundaries can only serve to promote living standards in these depressed regions.
